Visit to Anfield

maz & dino: they too weren't Liverpool supporters

Visited Anfield and Everton. Both club weren't my favourite. Only yesterday Gerard was accused of involving in a fight during their celebration. Gerard scored 2 goals and their team won 5-1 against Newcastle.

Bought some souvenir for my sister. She and her husband are Liverpool supporters.

Liverpool was our final destination before we head home for Loughborough. Home sweet home

Done with York, to Chester we went. It's near North of Wales. There are a few must see attractions.

To name a few are:

Chester Military Museum - 3pd per entry for an adult - CH1 2DN
River Cruise & Sight seeing bus around Chester - CH1 1SD
Chester Cathedral - CH1 2HU
Dewa Roman Experience - No postcode. It's near Pierpoint Lane, off Bridge St
Miniature railway - near Grosvenor Park
The City Walls
Suspension Bridge
The roman amphitheater

The view are breathtaking. It's a beautiful city with extremely unique architecture. A must visit for those who appreciate rare and beautiful buildings. To shopaholics, ehem, like me, Cheshire Oak designer Outlet is a must visit.

Tour de York

the Clifford
a rare view with minimum guests at the stairs

View all 18 photos...
It's Christmas time, Christmas day and a very long holiday.

We took the advantage of the long holiday to conquer York, beat the traffic jam and the crowd to tour the Shambles. To those who isn't familiar with York and the shambles, it's a place where the filmed The Pinocchio. But then, am no entirely sure, it's according to Mazrah.

There we went, departing from Loughborough at 9am, we reached approximately 11am at the Clifford Castle. Since most of the shops are closed, we strolled to enjoy the buildings sights the cathedral. The cathedral is one of the most largest in England.

The next day is Boxing day of which I was so looking forward to. Last year, this time, I was in Malaysia. So, this year, am glad that I'm here in UK.

Our marriage is a year old today...

-us-

having whale of time

Another year passed by. This time last year, he vowed his akad in front of the Imam.

Alhamdulillah, we've been blessed with patience and tolerance during the 1st year. I must admit that my husband is the 2nd guy in my life that could understand and tolerate my behaviour. The 1st and am amazed with his ability is my dad. Ayah.

We didn't plan anything, was stucked at the research hub, until 4pm, when he decided he has to prioritize his personal life from work.

We called up a few friends, after all, it's always us, together, why not celebrate it with friends, the more the merrier.

We went to Eataway at Leicester, and had lots of food and yes, we love to eat.

happy anni! Sat 27-Dec-2008 03:32

A friend's visit from Ireland

I noe the pose was lame, but, not much can be done..

Nadwah is my junior back in UTM. Only a year's a part but she was married to Najib whose also a UTM's student in Quantity Surveying earlier. They have 2 girls Izzah and Iffah. She came by today for a quick detour. For a quick info, Nadhwah and her husband were working at Dublin, Ireland, for the past 3 years. They've decided it's time to go back to Malaysia. Hence, she's doing her last minute shopping before returning back to Malaysia this 28th December for good.

As the visit was on a weekday, there's nothing much that we both could do to show her around. Plus, we both have submissions tomorrow *sigh*. Tomorrow happens to be our 1st Anniversary. But to be honset, we both haven't figure out how to celebrate.

To Nadwah and Najib, all the best in your future undertakings.

Jalan-jalan London

View all 12 photos...
The trip was an ad-hoc. His meeting was confirm last minute. We bought the cheapest bus ticket to London. Board on the bas at 6.00 am departing from the Rushes.

We reached London at 9.30am. No to bad. We ought to relax and enjoy the ride.

Since the trip wasn't planned in advance. There isn't any particular place that we wanted to go. Ended up at Knightstbridge, London and to Harrod's we went.

Done with some shoppings we head up to Portobello Market, just to taste some malaysian dishes at Makan. The food and the journey is worth it. To those planning to go there, it's near Ladbroke Grove, which nearer by walking distance as compared to Nottinghill Gate. To be spesific, the postcode is W10 5TY. They have their own website to which you can browse at:

www.makancafe.co.uk

We ordered sizzling mee and char keuw tiew. Nyum2.

What else, on the way back, we stopped by at Royal Albert's Hall and later to National Museum for a quick detour.

That's all for now, my visible journal of my experience in UK.

Eid at Aida-Steve's House

iada in red kurung
View all 8 photos...
There we went, with bunch of other friends. Convoying from Lufbra, heading for Burton-on-Trent.

The menu were superb. Lots of typical Eid's special dish, compliment tom yam from Kak Farie completes the whole open house. Words can hardly describe the taste of the foods. We enjoyed it very much. Trip to Aida's house will never be complete without karaoke session. She sang a few songs to which have mesmerized us all. Even Abg Khairul sang a few song at the opening session. Not bad ya. Apparently karaoke isn't a new thing for him.

Eid Mubarak at Lufbra 2008

View all 6 photos...
This is our 1st Eid as husband and wife. Unlike last year, I couldn't hardly hear the sound of the takbir. It made me cry almost instantly. But this year, although we do feel sad thinking that we couldn't celebrate it with our family, we managed to celebrate the success of fasting in the whole Ramadhan with joy. Thanks to the big family that we have at Lufbra.
